The Salvation Army, The Salvation Army, 44th Avenue Northeast, Marysville, WA, USA Map
The Marysville Cold Weather Shelter provides a warm place for the homeless folks in Marysville to rest their heads when the temperatures drop below 34 degrees for 4-hours or more. The shelter provides a warm dinner, a place to sleep, and a hot breakfast each day they are open. This volunteer run shelter is currently housed at The Salvation Army off of Grove Street in Marysville.
Volunteers are needed for all 3 shifts. These 4-hours shifts have different responsibilities. Speaking with the Shelter Director will give you a better idea of the responsibilities. The shifts are 7:30p-11p, 11p-3a and 3a-7a.
They are also looking for a Coordinator from Marysville Foursquare Church that is willing to call volunteers from a master list, to man the Wednesday shift, when the shelter is open on that day.
Donations are being accepted for gloves, hats, socks and coffee supplies as well.
Sign up here, and you will be contacted about training and serving.
Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus.
